Useful information
It is important to us that you have a trouble free journey in our vehicles. There are some things that we cannot control, such as, motorway congestion and air traffic controllers so here are a few pointers to help make the journey as smooth as possible.
Booking Confirmations
Please, take time to check that the information is correct. We make every effort to ensure that no mistakes are made but a misheard word or a misunderstood conversation could result in your car not being there on time. If you have requested additional assistance such as child seats, be sure they are mentioned.
Luggage
It is useful to know what luggage to expect so that we can make sure that you get the correct vehicle.
Arrivals
Arrivals Please check that the date we have for your arrival is correct, this may be different from your departure date especially if you are travelling overnight or from say, Australia. Drivers are instructed to be at the meeting point 30 minutes after the flight has landed. This is to allow for time for luggage collection and passport control. Please inform us if you will be with hand luggage only and the driver will go into the terminal immediately after the flight has landed.
Airport Meeting Points
The default meeting point in all airports is the Information Desk but some terminals have undergone some renovation lately and this means we have had to make some changes, these are:
- Heathrow T1 & T4 – In front of WH Smiths shop.
- Heathrow T3 – Information Desk.
- Heathrow T5 – By the green lift shaft which is to the right of Costa Coffee.
- Gatwick South – Follow the corral to the Information Desk.
- Gatwick North – In front of WH Smiths. note: Our 7/8 seater vehicles will not fit into the car park here so we need to exchange mobile numbers so that we can pickup outside in the drop off area.
- Birmingham Domestic & International Flights – The driver will wait in front of Costa Coffee.
- Bristol – Just to the right of the revolving exit doors.
- If you cannot see your driver, please do not leave the terminal but call the office. We do not pickup outside the terminals unless previously arranged. (In many cases we cannot) with the exception of -
- Luton - see below **
** Luton - The minimum car park charge is now £7.50 for an open air car park a good walk from the terminal – not much fun when it is raining. The best method here is to let us have a mobile phone number so we can be in contact with you and pickup in the drop off area. The driver has to stay with the vehicle and be in and out within 10 minutes. We can, of course, park and come in to the terminal to meet you if you prefer but we will charge for parking costs.
St Pancras & Cruise Terminals
Similar system here, again, with the use of mobile phones we can pick up outside in the same area that we drop you off. Mobile phones do not work very well on the Eurostar as it spends a lot of time underground going through London. The driver will send a text message with his number, just call him back as you get off the train and he will explain where he is. This is a more efficient way of getting away by far but if required we can park and meet.
